We are seeking a talented and passionate Bakery Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of baking techniques, creativity in recipe development, and a commitment to delivering high-quality baked goods. You will lead our bakery operations, ensuring the production of delicious items while maintaining the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and specialty items, according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Develop and test new recipes, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Manage the daily operations of the bakery, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Supervise and train bakery staff, providing guidance on techniques, safety practices, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate production of baked goods.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with all food safety standards.
  • Assist in customer interactions, addressing inquiries or special requests regarding baked goods.
  • Participate in promotional activities and events as needed, showcasing our baked goods to the community.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bakery Chef or in a similar role within a bakery or food service environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in baking and pastry arts.
  • Excellent knowledge of baking techniques and pastry arts.
  • Strong creativity and an eye for detail in presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food service.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
