We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Rooms Sales Manager to join our client's team. Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, you will lead a team of two and play a crucial role in driving room revenue and occupancy rates. Key Responsibilities:
1. Revenue Maximization and Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize room revenue and hotel occupancy
- Collaborate with the Revenue Manager on pricing strategies and inventory management
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to maintain a competitive edge
2. Sales and Client Relations:
- Identify and target key market segments, including corporate, leisure, group, and event guests
- Build and nurture relationships with corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and tour operators
- Negotiate rates, secure bookings, and manage contracts for individual and group reservations
3. Marketing and Promotion:
- Work closely with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promote seasonal offers
- Develop special promotions and packages to attract diverse guest segments
4. Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor room sales performance and adjust tactics to meet revenue goals
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and account interactions
5. Cross-departmental Collaboration:
- Coordinate with Front Desk, Reservations, and Operations teams to ensure smooth booking execution
- Partner with Marketing to drive room sales and promote hotel offerings
- Work closely with other departments to enhance overall guest satisfaction
6. Customer Service and Satisfaction:
- Ensure a seamless booking experience for all guests, from inquiry to post-checkout
- Address and resolve booking issues or guest complaints promptly and professionally
- Conduct post-stay evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
7. Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships to expand the hotel's reach
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably in room sales or a similar role
- Proven track record in sales, with strong negotiation and closing skills
- Proficiency in sales and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Opera)
